Job Description
Guidehouse is hiring Process Associates for its Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team in Chennai. The selected candidates will be responsible for conducting customer due diligence reviews while ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal operating procedures.
The role involves reviewing Trigger Review (TR) and Periodic Review (PR) cases, analyzing customer profiles, evaluating transaction activities, and assessing cryptocurrency-related transactions. Candidates will identify potential financial crime risks, perform sanctions and politically exposed person (PEP) screenings, and investigate suspicious activities involving blockchain transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for Trigger Review (TR) and Periodic Review (PR) cases.
- Review customer profiles, transaction history, and cryptocurrency transaction flows.
- Conduct adverse media verification, sanctions screening, and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) checks.
- Identify cryptocurrency-related risk indicators, including wallet layering and suspicious blockchain activities.
- Monitor transactions involving mixers, tumblers, darknet exposure, privacy coins, and high-risk virtual asset service providers.
- Validate Source of Funds (SoF) and Source of Wealth (SoW), including crypto-related financial activities.
- Escalate suspicious or high-risk cases to senior compliance teams or Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
- Prepare accurate, well-documented, and audit-ready case reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, service-level agreements (SLAs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
